Paul Vroomen, President and CEO

Paul brings over 25 years of semiconductor operating experience to Sandbridge. Paul has devoted much of his career to the microprocessor and digital media-related markets. Most recently, Paul was CEO of Connex Technology, where he drove the repositioning of the company into the emerging HDTV market. Prior to Connex, Paul was CEO of SandCraft, Inc., where he converted SandCraft from an IP company into a fabless semiconductor company focusing on the networking, mass storage and printer markets. Earlier in his career, Paul served as VP/GM of Operating Divisions at Oak Technology, Inc., VLSI Technology, Inc., and VP/GM of the Computer Peripheral Division at Zilog, Inc. Paul started out his career as a chip designer in both bipolar and CMOS technologies.

Paul holds a B.Sc Eng., cum laude, from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, and an MSEE from the Philips International Institute in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

John Glossner, Ph.D., Executive Vice President, CTO, Co-founder

Prior to co-founding Sandbridge, John managed the Advanced DSP Technology group, Broadband Transmission Systems group, and was Access Aggregation Business Development Manager at IBM's T.J. Watson Research Center. Prior to IBM, John managed the software effort in Lucent/Motorola's Starcore DSP design center. John received a Ph.D. in Computer Architecture from TU Delft in the Netherlands for his work on a Multithreaded Java processor with DSP capability. He also received an M.S. degree in Engineering Management and an M.S.E.E. from The National Technological University. John also holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State. John is a senior member of the IEEE and has more than 60 publications and 14 issued patents.

Joseph Gonzalez, Executive Vice President and CFO

Joe has held senior financial positions in both start-up and large companies. Prior to joining Sandbridge he was Senior Vice President and CFO of FortuneCity.com Inc., a publicly traded company. Joe was also Vice President and CFO of Celcore, Inc. a wireless start-up acquired by DSC Communications, which was subsequently acquired by Alcatel USA. Joe holds a BBA in Accounting from Pace College and an MBA from Baruch College.

Gary Nacer, Vice President of Engineering

Gary brings more than 25 years of experience in product development of Signal Processors and Access products, devices and systems, for AT&T Bell Laboratories and Lucent Technologies. Prior to joining Sandbridge Technologies, Gary was a Development Director for Lucent Technologies AnyMedia Access Product, a global multifunctional Telecommunications/ Data platform for the Access Business Unit. Gary holds a M.S.E.E. degree from Polytechnic Institute of New York and a BSEE degree from Pratt Institute of New York.

Mayan Moudgill, Ph.D., Chief Architect, Co-founder

Prior to joining Sandbridge, Mayan was chief S/W architect of Advanced DSP technology at IBM's T.J. Watson Research Center. Mayan was also the team leader on IBM's VLIW compiler. Dr. Moudgill's Ph.D. thesis at Cornell was in Compilers.
