Sandblaster® family of flexible Wireless Baseband SoC solutions

Sandbridge´s core technology, Sandblaster®, is a radically new DSP architecture that implements radio protocols, including physical layer design, completely in software—achieving exceptional computational efficiency for advanced broadband wireless protocols. Extreme multi-threading allows simultaneous time-critical tasks and minimizes inefficiencies of traditional DSP approaches. A full suite of development tools and software, including the most efficient DSP compiler in the industry, delivers benchmark performance equal to hand optimized code and enables immediate system verification, substantially reducing the risk and cost of developing new devices.

Sandbridge´s SB3500® SoC supports software-defined radio (SDR) base-band processing for all radio protocols, including LTE and WiMAX, at power consumption levels rivaling those of fixed-function hardware.
